2. Information We Collect

  • Trip Data: Destinations, travel dates, itineraries, budgets, expenses, and notes you create within the App.
  • Photos: Images you upload or capture for your trips, stored securely in cloud storage.
  • Location Data: General location information used to provide relevant destination recommendations and distance estimates. We do not continuously track your precise location.
  • Calendar Data: With your permission, we access your calendar to add trip events. We do not read or store other calendar entries.
  • Usage Data: App interaction data, device type, and operating system version to improve our service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App's features and functionality.
  • Generate AI-powered destination recommendations and travel suggestions.
  • Sync your trip data across devices when you are signed in.
  • Send trip reminders and notifications you have opted into.
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve user experience.

4. Third-Party Services

Desty AI integrates with the following third-party services to deliver its features:

  • OpenAI: For AI-powered destination suggestions, trip planning assistance, and flight information lookups. Trip context may be sent to OpenAI's API for processing.
  • Supabase: For user authentication and secure cloud data storage.
  • Wikipedia: For destination images and supplemental information.

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Account credentials are managed through Supabase Authentication. Sensitive tokens are stored in the device Keychain. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the App. When you delete your account:

  • All local trip data is permanently removed from your device.
  • Your user profile and authentication data are deleted.
  • Cloud-synced data associated with your account is removed.

You can request complete data deletion by deleting your account in Settings → Account → Delete Account.

7. Children's Privacy

Desty AI is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Withdraw consent for data processing.
  • Export your data in a portable format.

3. User Accounts

  • All activities that occur under your account.

You may delete your account at any time through the App's Settings.

  • AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional travel advice.
  • Recommendations may not always be accurate, complete, or up-to-date.
  • You are responsible for verifying all travel information, including visa requirements, safety advisories, and booking details, before making travel decisions.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated flight status information.

Always verify critical travel details (flights, visas, safety) through official sources before traveling.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you create within the App, including trip plans, notes, photos, and expense records. By using the App's cloud sync features, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the service.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by Desty AI and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our prior written consent.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation.
